Great news for film enthusiasts and divers alike: the Underwater World Film Festival is set to return during Duikvaker 2026! Following the resounding success of its inaugural edition last year, the organizers are eagerly anticipating bringing the most captivating underwater films back to the big screen.

During the first edition, attendees were treated to remarkable productions such as De Wilde Noordzee, an inspiring documentary about Nemo’s Garden, an impressive film by Sea Shepherd on The Return to Antarctica, and stunning visuals from The Manta Trust. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive – a clear indication that the festival is a valuable addition to Duikvaker.

Already, some exquisite films have been submitted for the 2026 edition. Some filmmakers are even putting the finishing touches on their latest edits to ensure their work is completed in time. This certainly bodes well for the upcoming event!

The preliminary program is slated for announcement in December. Be sure to keep a close eye on Duikvaker's channels if you want to catch every moment of this unique event, brimming with underwater inspiration, adventure, and wonder.
