This presentation introduces the full spectrum of diving in Portugal, covering the three major regions that make the country a unique and unforgettable destination for divers of all levels. Arlindo will guide the audience through: - Mainland Portugal is home to remarkable wrecks, vibrant reefs, marine parks, and unique shore experiences. - The Azores Archipelago, one of the world's top diving destinations, offers encounters with blue sharks, mobulas, manta rays, and impressive offshore seamounts. - Madeira and Porto Santo, rising stars of Atlantic diving, featuring warm waters, volcanic seascapes, and abundant marine life—including friendly resident groupers and the iconic Madeira wrecks. From historical shipwrecks to pelagic encounters with some of the ocean's most majestic species, the talk provides a comprehensive overview of Portugal's underwater geography, marine biodiversity, dive conditions, travel logistics, and signature experiences. The goal: to inspire divers and dive professionals to explore a country where three distinct diving worlds exist within a single destination.

Arlindo Serrão is the founder and general manager of Portugal Dive, the leading Dive Travel & Destination Management Company dedicated to showcasing the best diving experiences across mainland Portugal, the Azores, and Madeira. A long-time advocate for the development of diving tourism, Arlindo has worked closely with international dive operators, tourism boards, and industry partners to position Portugal as one of Europe's most exciting and diverse underwater destinations. He is also the creator and organiser of Diving Talks – Portugal, the acclaimed international diving show known as the "TED Talks of diving," which brings together some of the world's most influential underwater explorers, photographers, scientists, and divers and is the festival director for the Lisbon Underwater Film Festival.
