Over deze presentatie

Manta rays are undoubtedly among the most captivating creatures in our oceans, making them a diver's dream encounter. Despite their charm, our understanding of their lives is relatively recent, with much still to uncover about these giants' biology. In this presentation, we'll explore the mysterious world of manta rays, delving into intriguing aspects of their evolution, diet, reproduction, and global habitats. Additionally, we'll shed light on the challenges they face, from direct fishing industries to unsustainable tourism.

The discussion extends to the vital work of the Manta Trust, an NGO dedicated to researching and conserving these animals. We'll highlight conservation efforts, current status, and, crucially, provide insights for divers on contributing to the long-term survival of manta rays globally.
